About Instructor

Eric has been training and teaching in Williams Lake since 1995. After performing all belt levels and competing in many light mma style tournaments and self defense competitions. He also needed to coach, judge and referee to grade for black belt status. In 1998, he was awarded his black belt under Wayne Hammond and Pat Lauriente from the Williams Lake Jui-Jitsu club also presidents Jean Galli and John J.Williams (oldest mma fighter at age 70). He also trained in various other martial arts. Both presidents have sadly passed away around 2015. So he joined the Canadian Jui- Jitsu Union. He trained and taught Jui-Jitsu at the Shogun karate & kickboxing club of Williams Lake for over 15 years and now opened his own club once again.

JAPANESE JIU-JITSU

Jui-Jitsu translated means “Gentle Art”. Gentle art meaning using momentum, reactions and leverage. Japanese Jui-Jitsu is a martial art for self-defense and attacking strategies. Involves all aspects of fighting including strikes and throw’s in addition to submissions, joint locks, chokes and ground fighting also many different escapes from common grabs and holds.

Prices $100 membership fee (includes uniform) for first year. It then becomes $50 for each year after.
